Gm + hhr = junk

This hhr is driving me crazy. First it is surging and the dealer cant fix it. Had it in twice. Then i get it back and it is still doing it. Now, we are out on sunday and we are sitting in the parking lot and the car dings, but no service lights on. Then later that night car dings again and the little theft light comes on then goes off. Today on my way to work, have cruise set at 60 car dings then shuts off, then kicks back on but no lights on. Now i just went to lunch and the car dings again, and now the theft light will not go off. This car only has 14,000 miles on it, but it acts like it has 114000. Last two cars i bought from gm have be junkers. Brand new 05 grand prix gt fully loaded $29,500 had to have the trans replaced under 20k miles, break caliper, sun roof leak, traction control went out, power assist steering went out, and wheel bearing. This was all before 40,000 miles. I see why gm is not going to make it. I am going to ford. Had 95 explorer 4x4 with 135k, truck was 11 years old and i only put $100 in repairs. Still have 1997 f-150 with 127k miles. Just changed u-joint. First repair in 12 years.

Sound to me like you would have learned from your Grand Prix, some folks just don't have any luck with certain brands. The new F-150 is the truck of the year, enjoy.

Try another dealer. Some of them are just plain F.O.S.! When I was looking for my '08 SOM Panel, the first dealer said They didn't make Panels in that color. The second said they made them but there weren't anymore available. The third dealership said, "I can have it here in three days." Go figure.

Dealers only want to sell what they have on their lots and won't have to do any computer search time on their inventory network.. Most of the new sale staff couldn't tell the difference between a Aveo and a Corvette. Except for the Vega I bought in 1972, most of the GM cars I've had have been relatively trouble free.

Hey! Don't knock cars with 114k miles! My two other cars have well over that, and they both run like new!

Sorry to hear the bad luck with GM. My family has had great experiences so far with (most) of our GM cars, but there always are some good and some bad out there.

Hope you have better luck with whatever you choose to drive.
