Why is it that everyone else's list of vehicles looks so much better than my crap list? (Other than the 03 Sub which is actually for my wife)

I think I am anticipating my HHR more than my 16th birthday. Wouldn't you if you knew you would be driving a 79 Pinto once licensed?

I forgot to mention that we had an ACDelco plant here in Rochester at one point. Several years back it was closed and it hurt our local economy pretty bad. My uncle used to work there but luckily he was selected to go to the Saturn plant in Spring Hill when it first opened before they closed down ACDelco.

The Pinto was actually a fun car to drive as long as you had no shame about your appearance. I even drove it for 2 weeks back and forth to high school after rolling it before the insurance company came to haul it away and give me a re-imbursement check.

It might of gone up a few cents in the morning, but ended up off by more that 40 cents. It is going to be rough for all of the car makers. Ford announced shortly after GM that they to are undergoing restructuring.

This is just tough times for all of the Auto companies. With the import taxes the way they are we can look forward to many more entries into the North American Auto business. Damn Chinese SUV's!

I heard the same thing. That China is going to make a push into our auto market. Then U.S. companies don't stand a chance at the price of labor so we'll be seeing alot of cars being built in Mexico just like the HHR.

Well this is America the Land of Dreams. They told the old folk the streets were painted in gold. That's why in droves they all came here. Why do you think there is a big bull on Broadway right by Wall Street. Becasue of Greed. No one mentioned part of the article mentioned there was also accounting errors. Does Erron, Worldcomm, or Tyco ring a bell. Does the SOX act of 2002 fall into place. Yet this stock declined in value. I will agree that the Car mauf. did get hurt due to increase gas prices. Who would want to pay a lot of money for a SUV or Truck that does 10 MPG. Hybrid is the future. But there is less then a push. But we also have cars out there that does equlvant amount of MPG as per certain Hybrid's. So who takes the loss the consumer or the car maunf. Sorry there were just somet thoughts I have.
