GMPartsDirect Military Discount

Many of us shop at GMPartsDirect. It's been a couple years since I have ordered there, but when I did, I was able to use their Military discount (I'm a vet). But several years later, that promo code has now expired. I have called and emailed them, but got no replies/answers. I also searched their website. I cannot find out what the latest Military promo code is for the shopping cart checkout. Does anybody know what it might be?

It's only 5%, but better than nothing. Especially if there is no military discount.

Yes, thank you. I use that code every time I buy from RockAuto. In this case, I have a handful of parts, and GMPartsDirect is near the price of RockAuto. If I could apply GMPartsDirect's 10% military discount, then the prices beat RockAuto. If I'm unable to dig up the GMPartsDirect promo code, I'll revert to RockAuto for this order, using the 5% code.

RockAuto is a supporting vendor, they applied for that and provide a discount in return.
the military discount would only apply to vets, and would not be provided to all our members.
You will need to investigate that situation yourself, as it does not apply to all members of this site.

Finally got my answer. GMPartsDirect emailed back (it took them forever), but it sounds like GM pricing policies changed recently. As a result, their online prices are very near dealer cost and have no margin for any additional discounts. Life goes on...

No way of knowing if they are telling the truth. Sounds like the same old story, I can't let it go for any less than $XX.xx, you're killin' me, I'm losing money, blah blah blah.

Sorry you couldn't get the discount.

I also thank you for your service!
