I just wish it had the 5 speed, but I am going to enjoy everything else. A manual isn't easy to find.

Donbrew I didn't realize yours was red. A really great color!

I guess we have a few Carmax cars on here.

Rentals can be gifts or curses. Hopefully you have a strong engine and tranny in that 2011.

When I was in college and working, a span of 6-7 years, I bought Alamo rentals a local used dealership always got. I had a Olds Ciera that had a Chevy emblem oil cap and mustang seat covers. I had a Chevy metro that had a mazda logo stick shift knob and a passenger seat from a completely different make. Rentals can have some real funky things to em, whatever is laying around and works. But both cars were troopers. The Olds cost me 1,700 had 250k and lasted me 4 years with zero issues other then a annoying engine light from the gas cap, and the metro was 2k with 200k and went 3 years with only a alternator issue and I sold it to friend who keep it going for another 6-7 years.
I can almost guarantee you it's been repainted at some point somewhere from a minor accident or two.
The DIC is obviously lot/idling issue.

The car is really loaded with most options. I did have something wierd happen on the way home last night. I decided to check all the numbers on the DIC and the average mpg's showed 7.6 while the average speed showed 4 mph. As I drove non of the numbers changed. I decided to reset and it appeared to start working correctly. The other strange thing is the emblem on the rear hatch is an SS instead of LT. I don't know how that happened since this is supposed to be a rental car. Anybody got any ideas?
Congratulations on your new purchase of a 2011 HHR! If you would like for me to check your VIN for anything applicable to your vehicle, please send me your VIN and mileage to my inbox. Also, did you bring this up to the dealership?

I hear ya there. When I was shopping back in 06 finally found mine down in Miami. The later years are even harder to find an LT with a manual.

Congrats on the new purchase. Now I won't know it's your if I see you going down the road....

BTW, Carmax buys a lot of our fleet at auction, but we don't buy LT's, only LS's. I don't think any of ours have went to auction yet as we keep them for 7 years or 65K miles.
