I've left my DIC alone since I got the HHR, about 5200 miles later my average holds pretty steady at 28-29 mpg. Much more pleasing then the truck was getting, especially with these prices.

Good Point...The moral of this story is that you should just leave your DIC alone...

I find that the DIC is inaccurate. It's close though. Usually within .5 MPG. However, I don't know how you guys are getting this mileage. No matter what I do, I get between 23 - 26 MPG. I have seen the DIC up as high as 31, but when I fill up and do the math, reality sets in.

I will be taking a 3,000 mile road trip beginning Saturday. I will see what kind of mileage this thing really gets.

You'd think that Cheby could have come up with something better than DIC, but maybe not.... lol

I love my DIC! I definitely play with it enough. I couldn't believe the first time I read the manual and saw the HHR has a DIC. I though the same thing, couldn't Chevy come up with a better name. But now I am happy with the name because we have all of this great DIC humor.
