Great muffler sound!!!

I finally did it!!!!!

I went to my local muffler shop.. Had them take off the stock resonator and stock muffler and in place put two glasspack mufflers. Kept the stock tip.

WOW!!!!! The sound is just amazing. It doesn't have the ricer sound at all.. The exhaust note is deep and throaty.. I have turned soo many heads.. I have had sooo many people just amazed that the 2.4L sounds that good with just glasspacks..

Loudness inside the car isn't too bad.. I don't know if I could handle just one glasspack.. With two you hear it upon aceleration but not too anoying.. I actually like it.. I can actually hear the car now when I shift... I do notice on the freeway in 5th gear when I give it gas... It does seem to have slightly more pick up (push you in the seat more) than before..

Driving in the city is just a blast now... I actually keep the windows down now just to hear the exhaust and watch peoples reaction.

I have had this set up for a week now and have driven over 400 miles... I can't really say if it helped gas mileage.. I have been revving it up and driving in lower gears longer to hear the sound...I would imagine if I drive it normal I would gain a little...

Just thought I would give you all another option and a full review of a different exhaust set up.. and it all only cost me $130.00

I will have to get the sound recorded.. But I am kinda new to the forum posting thing.. Not really sure how to post a wav. file. I do have a lap top so I can probably take the computer and mic out to the car and start up.. I have a web cam as well.. Maybe that would work better... When I get a chance I will try to take a clip for you all... I will know about the gas mileage buy next friday.. I do alot of highway driving (38 miles eachway) for work.. I usually average between 30 to 32 mpg. If I stay the same or get a tad better
I will be very happy..

I am looking into a new air filter.. But I wish AEM had a drop in.. I had AEM on my jeep and neon.. I loved them. No oiling. And filters better than a K&N.

I'll keep you posted.

Converting it to .mp3, .wma, or .avi will save space. You can also take a short video and post it to YouTube.

Just upload it to a file hosting site like fileden. You may have to convert it to zip first.

Okay I uploaded the exaust clip sound to acrobat.. Here is the link.. This should work for everyone. Once in it download the wav file and it should play in windows media player. https://share.acrobat.com/adc/docume...d-b5112b89c0bb

I hope it gives some idea of the sound... It doesn't sound too bad of a recording. It's not the best microphone. Hope it works for you all..

When you log in to fileden, click the Files tab, right click the sound clip, select properties, then click URL. Copy and paste that here.
