Green plug under seat

Just installed leather heated passenger seat, green plug attached to seat but no obvious place to plug in harness. Anyone know what that plug is.

Are you talking about the passenger presence sensor? The system was changed between years, so the connectors may be different.

The connector between the PPS on my 07 and 2010 seats were the same, though the pin population was different, but my LS had no additional connectors for heated seats, I don't think the harnesses are all the same. I had to splice in the power driver's seat to the accessory socket, since there was no socket for that either.

Your Airbag light should be on, if not, I'm guessing that the passenger bag will always be activated so keep children an little old folks out of the passenger seat.

IIRC, the sensors operate in different ways. I think the earlier ones were air bladders and the newer ones are electronic pressure sensors.

Note in those diagrams the voltage difference; 2006 is 14 V ,2010 is 5 V. Low ref can be ground.

I don't know how they produce a 14 V reference signal. It could be a misprint?

My airbag light came on when I plugged the newer one in. They are different sensors, the later one is glued to the surface of the foam, not sure how that coordinates with the heating elements? I used the old foam on my newer seats and had to swap the modules by unbolting the front crossmember of the seat base.
