Are the body panels on these trucks simple bolt on affairs? Just curious, like my windows but was wondering.

 

The panel is stamped with the body for the rear and also with the doors. So it is a bolt on, but it's the entire main body or the doors.

 

 

Someone here made some rear window covers, to try & replicate the AA5/ half panel look..

Thanks, I just wondered, I'd either have a panel or wagon, the half look isn't bad but unless I just ran across a deal when I was shopping, I don't really prefer it over the window look.

I Bought my HHR new in 2008. It came as a half panel vehicle. The four doors have windows, but the rear quarter panel has no glass just panel. I have only seen 1 other
like mine since I have had it. I don't even know what the actual description for this type
HHR. Does any body know the answer to this question!

 

I believe it's called an AA5, that's GM's option code, most call it a half panel like you do.......

 

Yes it is an AA5 option. I will be getting a personalized tag soon that will say "HLF PNL". That is my thought as of now.
