Anyone here installed the dvd players that are built into the headrests on your HHR?

Not in my HHR but we did in the Equinox. 2 channel Wireless head phones, can plug the play station or game boys right into the screen. Player is mounted under the front pass. seat.
We did not use the stock headrest, so no cutting into them was done. Kids love it, now I just need to ride back there once to see for myself

I got these at Best Buy. They are not installed in the headrests, but just velcro to them so they can be removed and used in the house by the kids also.

We've had a portable DVD player for years that the boys use to watch movies. It's a lot cheaper than these systems and the carrying case will hang the unit between the two seats. You can buy a splitter for wired headphones which work great. A power converter allows you to plug it into the vehicles' power source.

Thank's for the picture SJSSK. I think those unit's are the ones my son-in-law just got for the 2 grand-daughters to use.
I will know for sure on memorial day weekend, as they are scheduled to arrive here then. I should have my new HHR by then.

We picked up one at target during christmas for under $70. It attatches to a holded you put on the headrest poles. You can quickly detactch the unit by itself or the whole thing. Comes with a rechargable battery; fm broadcast to play through radio, two small built-in speakers, remote.

Works real nice. I like being able to use it in any of our cars and have the option of taking it on trips to watch movies anywhere. I'll see if I can find out what brand it is.

Wow, those are down to $70? Why bother with a built-in one when the portable ones are so cheap?
