heated seats and autostart

As the cold draws near and i start to think about how much i love autostart and how much i dislike a cold fanny i began to wonder if the heated seats were supposed to come on with autostart. i tried yesterday to no avail. is there a secret combo of settings?

If you find the secret combo let GM know so they can let the rest of of know. No Auto seat heater. I'm in Northern Oh and never use the seat heater, too darn hot even on lo and on Hi it will make you sterile.

Put your cars heat on full blast and aim the vents towards the seat, before you go in for the night. Then when you hit the remote start the heat will run and get the car toasty before you get in. If there is one great thing about the HHR is you can really get that vent to point in a lot of different directions.

That or leave a towel on your seat or get a cloth seat cover for the winter.

It seems like the designers would have it set so that depending on the temperature, either the seat heaters or the a/c came on automatically when you auto start the car.

I too am disappointed that the seat heaters will not come on with auto start. I guess I'll just have to be happy that the heat comes on... just gotta remember to put it on full blast every night.
