Was this a used HHR. If so it kinda sounds like the owner had replaced the previous mirror with a LT chrome mirror. Anyhow welcome to the site..

used
it was a used hhr and the handles are all satin finish... she is silver. i can't even believe i didn't realize one was chrome and one was black until after i bought it....ugh

In fact, even if you purchased used from a dealer, I would speak with them.....it wouldn't hurt.

Also, check the area of the mirror very well for additional damage to the door panel, fender, etc. If the mirror was "bumped" off from some type of accident, there was probably additional damage.

Let us know what happens. !!!

Sounds to me like the chrome mirror is the one that was replaced.

i spoke with the dealer and they said they had no idea what happened. there is no additional damage but the mirror is driving me insane. also the dealer says he can't fix it or help fix it so i am out of luck until i just get a new one... sad day
