HHR 2LT 215/R17-50 Firestone Firehawk Tire Life

I've had my HHR eight (8) weeks with 7,000 miles (mostly highway) driven thus far.

The tread has worn off 2/32" on my tires already. At that rate I will be lucky to get 30,000 miles out of a set of tires.

Anyone with 25,000 miles or so on their HHR tell me how much tread remains on your tires?

Thanks for your response in advance.................

Check your alignment? Before I had my HHR lowered I had the alignment checked and it sucked! I never just trust the factory for a good alignment ! Just a thought, good luck..

The Firehawk 17's are not known for their "great" ride or tire life; they're a "basic" OEM tire slapped on to sell the car. It's a shame really, as the 16" Affinity's blow them away in quality, handling, treadwear, and traction/temperature ratings. I would have liked to see GM give those who paid for a "step up" just that in a tire too!

There's always aftermarket...start shopping early!
