HHR Aircraft-like cabin
A lot of cars like to talk about how the car's interior is designed like a "****pit." Well, I was sitting in the back seat of the HHR today. And it hit me. It totally reminded me of the interior of a Mooney M20 Ranger. M20 Ranger is a single engine piston prop. Okay, now the HHR is of course wider, heck just about any vehicle is going to be wider than a small sinlge engine plane's cabin, especially a Mooney, but the tunnel like feeling, the high panel shallow windscreen combo, center radio stack, it all hit me... very similar to the feel of the Mooney cabin. Except for width, legroom, etc.
So there you have it, from someone with at least a little credibility on the matter... I had a '67 Piper Cherokee for awhile that I flew, and friend of a friend had a '68 Mooney M20C Ranger (Johnson-bar Ranger for any pilots on the forum...). I rode in the Ranger once... in back, we flew three up. Three guys is all the Ranger could take and that was a stretch.
