Question HHR availability

I have a buddy who has been looking for an HHR around Corning, NY and none of the nearby Chevrolet dealers have any on their lots. My buddy won't special order a car, but wants to pick one from the inventory. Does anyone else find that there are few HHRs on dealer inventories?

I know when I bought mine in 06, it was hard to find HHRs in dealer inventories. When you did find them, they were all overloaded with options, running the list price up to $25K. I guess I as "lucky" to find a nice LT wth a few options... more than enough for what I wanted the car for.

I have found a few at every Chevy dealer Ive been to. Depends on what you want. Try looking online. Have the dealerships see if any other dealers have what you want.

Since they quit making them for a while in order to send the parts back to the U.S. for the Malibu they got to be in short supply. Now I'm guessing if they are still building 08's it would be just customer ordered cars as it is just about time to switch over to 09's

There's plenty of 'em out there now, but usually in the more boring colors. Definitely not like late '05 when you took what you could get from Daytona Blue, Sport Red, Sunburst Orange, and the ultra-rare Arctic White. Now all I seem to see down here is black, silver, white, and occasionally a red one.

What is this "ultra-rare" Arctic White you speak of? Different from my Summit White?!?

I know that Elm Chevrolet has or had 3-4 on the lot, he could try looking into the Binghamton area also.

I just bought one from a dealer with about 10 of them. I was just looking at a row of them at another dealer and there is a dealer about 30 minutes away that had about 50 of them last I knew. Everyone wants full size trucks in Texas, not little HHRs.
