Actually, it can be used in a sentence relating to "abundance" or "excess" though I think you are referring to a "excess of blood" which is its original meaning and associating a swollen condition with a ruddy facial appearance caused by said "plethora".

Hope this is more of what ya'll are looking for. I get bored being on hold with health insurance all day! Not my best work but a constant work in progress. Top is obviously an HHR the bottom is some muscle care looking thing. Not any certain one in particular!
