HHR electrical issue- no power steering, no speedo, no gas gauge
I'm pretty lost as to why everything would run through this LAN module and cause such issues, but I'm hoping this is the reason for the hit or miss electrical issues. should I just cut out the kinks and resplice them and tape them up well as a temporary fix?
or can I pop open the connector and pull those wires out and create new clean ends to reinsert into the black connector?

no I didn't probe them, they had those holes when I found them, and had been bent with no slack. when I connected the harness with slack and straightened the wires, and connected the battery again it started right up with no codes yet
Those holes are from someone before you doing the diagnostic that is called for to trace the LAN. But, we already know it is the TCM causing trouble.
The green is NOT ground it is the low speed LAN. The other wires are the high speed LAN.

ok so either the TCM is bad or the ground for the ten could also be a culprit? what codes would I get that would indicate a bad TCM if any? or will it just throw lots of different codes?
if I need a new TCM will it need programmed ?
I would disconnect the TCM and do the same thing as you did to the connector. There are the 4 tan or tan/blk wires and a green wire that are all suspect.
Might even do that to all the high speed LAN modules; TCM, ECM, Brake module, Instrument panel and power steering control module. They all go to the BCM also include the grn/blk wire there and another dk grn; in addition.
The tan, tan/blk and green wires are the ones to be sure of.

Idk, just like donbrew said, highly unlikely the at of probing them damaged them that bad, but it could have been the fact they had less slack causing some problems.
Just took it out for a drive and no codes yet of course since Ive unhooked the battery and cleared the codes earlier. well see how long this lasts. I will continue to try and find these same wires and search for the problem thats causing the loss in communication.
As far as unhooking the onstar setup, I wanted to do that so I just unhooked the antenna from the module box. Only difference is there is a red light now on the mirror, I reckon indicating no antenna for onstar and sirius.
All I did to the c3 harness is straighten the wires out and tape them to keep them tight and to kind of stint them. Well see if the fix is just because I reset the computer and codes or if the wires had something to do with it.
I thought you said you straightened and pulled the pins. Maybe apply some dielectric grease.
Unhooking the antenna can cause other problems better to try pulling the fuse. #24 on the BCM.
If for some reason it decides to ":call home" it will run your battery down looking for the antenna
