Just watching the antics on Tvtropolis. Marathon of bad driving . Unlike the Original Canadian version the drivers are not trained during the taping. There is a sidenote at the end of the episodes saying they are to be sent for training. Good news is one team is driving a black HHR thru L.A. to take pics of landmarks.

 

Is Tvoplis a Canadian channel? I have never heard of that before. Or America's Worst Driver.

I found it on TvTropolis (sorry for poor spelling!) while surfing the channels today. The Canadian version seems more comprehensive. Each episode has a skill set that is taught to each participant. Backing up with/without a trailer,skid control etc At the end they do a "test" of their skills. No cars or trips as prizes to my recollection in the CDN version. Each episode on the American version has the destruction of the poorest drivers car which could be an awesome tool. If of course you could "make" a driver CARE about consequences. From what I saw on the finale the young man named "Americas Worst" did NOT seem to care about his driving improving or not. http://www.tvtropolis.com/

Those people on the show drive me nuts!! How did they ever get a licence??? IT just goes to show that our system of licencing drivers is terrible.
