I had an adapter once, but it made my hitch haul drop too much in the rear and scrapped everywhere. Hope for you, yours is better.

Here's some older ones, one with the rubber plug that came with mine and one with the cover I'm running current.

I have pics of what I just did + a home made 1.25 license plate holder. I will convert them tonight within a smaller format to post...

The UHAUL hitch isn't really out of view-but the gloss black blends into my blackie pretty well + the flaming skull head license plate hides it well.

I also want to paint my muffler (because now it really shows) but am afraid I'll void a warrantee-any thoughts ChevyMgr....

I would not paint it silver (IMO)-it may stick out even more.

I have a silver HHR...so it would be a close color match to the bumper

What I meant was I would not paint yours silver IMO-it would stick out more. At least the black would blend in with the shadow under your HHR.

I had a trailer hitch on my tracker and I painted it to match the truck color and it looked better then the black. but then it was higher off the ground as well.. the one on my Saturn only the receiver hangs below the bumper..
