HHR with ladder rack = yuck!
Yesterday in Newton North Carolina I spotted an HHR equipped with a ladder rack. Of all the vehicles to inflict with such a contraption, why a poor harmless HHR? What were they thinking, such cruelty to HHR's shouldn't be tolerated. The worst part of it all was that the brackets were SCREWED into the roof, ugh! I want my mommy!! There should be a law........
Sorry reel, no pics, and I'm not sure I'd want any reminders of that poor little truck-let. You'll know when you see it since you're in the state too, Victory red, chrome Wally World hub caps, two big blue extension ladders on top, and a Calvin peeing on a Ford oval on the back glass.....ugh!
Yeah they are common in the service vechicle market.
Check it out... all kinds of icky!

Nicely done service vehicles are one thing, this poor creature was a rather poor example of redneck engineering. We are talking angle iron and sheet metal screws driven into the roof, astounding in its crude nature and horrible to see on an HHR. If I happen upon this critter again I will try to get pictures, picked up a small and cheap digital camera to keep in Paddy this morning.
