Yes
A Watts will keep the rear centered thru range of motion, while a Panhard will shift the rear to one side, that can cause the rear to "steer" the rear end.

Correct, thats why NASCAR uses the panhard bar setup, with the driver able to adjust to control for traction

The driver can adjust the bar? Is this F1 racing? This is new to me.

Monster Energy Cup racing,

Here is a good read on what a panhard bar is used for. It explains how it can be used to adjust body roll for better traction.

Here is another one I just found.

Great stuff, thanks for the info!! Got a big weekend planned for the HHR. Fresh wheel bearings and brake parts for the front so I can mount a couple wheels and tires to it and have it rolling again. Might try to get that Jeep steering shaft as well and get that taken care of. Need to get my 4 bolts through the frame and body, and start framing up the rear section.

Yeah I think it's new this year. I believe one end of the bar is threaded and the driver can adjust it with a switch.

Speedway has a universal watts link kit for $75. Seems like a decent price.

Go for it, but rethink the 3 bar set up with it. Do your homework. Or ask your girlfriends dad to do it, LOL.

Are you going to use the electric PS of the HHR or run a pump to the Camaro steering box or just go manual box?

Yeah I'll have to do some research on everything. I'm using the camaro steering box. Since im using a gen 1 sbc lines will be plug and play. The jeep shaft upgrade seems like it's gonna be the ticket. I need extra length and I think it's my best option.

OleBlue
The sound track is more leaning to on the fly wedge adjustment, which in my opinion is poor.
Come into the pit and let the people from over the wall crank it in if need be.
That's what stock car racing is about.
It all started to go down hill when speed limit was 50 mph.
Then it was red light, green light to enter.
Now you have mandatory pit windows.
The day's of big blocks along with run hard and fast are done.
