HHR newbie saying Hello.
Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and to the HHR as well.
My wife and I bought our '08 HHR 2LT back in January. It has a build date of 11/07. It's black with ebony leather and pretty much loaded with the exception of roof rails.
We actually went looking for an '08 Malibu as a family/commuter vehicle with good gas mileage as I commute 80 miles a day. But we thought the Malibu was to low a vehicle for getting in and out of (we both have been driving Jeeps since '98. The HHR was easy to get in and out and very comfortable and I love the power lumbar support. My wife prefered the HHr's retro look, especially with the running boards. I have always been a fan of the fat fendered Chevys of the late '30s and '40s.
I have been impressed with the fuel mileage of 30-32 mpg with 80% hwy/20% city driving, considering the window sticker was 28mpg hwy.
So far I'm really enjoying this car, but it definately needs a rear sway bar upgrade.
