If I remember correctly, the locking storage bins are an ADDITIONAL option.

It wouldn't really matter if they were $500 more - GM is going to sell a TON of them!

I am sure there was additional tooling costs for GM involved with the new doors and side panels ect. Plus if you figured in the cost of shaving your rear door handles and installing the electric door poppers, $200 is nothing. It won't be right for everyone, but a lucky few are going to be crusing in style!

I was referring to the extra cargo bins that lock. Regardless of what it does or doesn't have...it's going to sell great to businesses that need an economical delivery vehicle.

There will not be nearly as many panels sold as sedans. That factor alone would mean that the panel will cost more than the sedan. The panel will still not be as profitable as the sedan.

After tooling costs are recovered in a few years though, who knows?

I thought you meant overall cargo space. Locking bins didn`t factor in my reply.
In my neck of the woods, once the door is opened, no other locks count...
PS. Crazy Bob, where did you get the build # from ? ( in your sig. )

There will definitely be a numbers factor with less panels than regular models and the retooling costs, so $200.00 doesn't seem to bad, no I just hope I can have the second car paid down enough to trade it by the end of '07 !!!
