It's different from a Caliber in that it has a straight box on the back (rather than sloped) so that it squeeze in three rows of seats.

Kind of like our HHR's vs a PT Cruiser, not much bigger on the outside but a lot bigger on the inside...

I don't mind the design and like the idea of 7 passenger seating. Also, this is still a pre-production model so anything could change. I'm still not sure if this is an HHR replacement or if they are squeezing in another product line. I don't see the Orlando starting at around $18,000 like the HHR.

I think your wright Dayton, doesn't look like an $18K car. I do like the slightly longer rear area.

I have to agree it looks similar to a Dodge Caliber (which aside from the Pontiac Astek, ties the Honda element as "the ugliest automaker offering of the decade"). At least the bow-tie boys are offering something that LOOKS a lot better!

The Chevy Orlando to come to the American Market 2011

GM is showing the Olando in Detroit this week. Word is it is now game on to the US market in 2011.

It is not clear at this point if it will effect the future of the HHR or not.

With the money problems and too many models this could be the end of our little SUV.

IF I were GM I would use some caution as the HHR for 3 years straight has sold 100,000 units and you don't want to mess that up with sales dropping everywhere.

In reading about the Detroit show, it states that the Orlando is LARGER than the Equinox, although built on the same platform as the Cruze. So, if it's an HHR replacement, that would mean that it moves up the Chevy ladder to a space between the Equinox and Traverse.

I don't think it could ever replace the HHR. Too bland, too big. It may be similar, but in my eyes, there's no way it's a replacement.

The HHR has style, the Orlando has size. They are not replacements for one another.
