shadow edition was for 08. It came with a metallic paint that had kind of a green tint to it (although they claimed it was charcoal). You also got the SS style side skirts and SS style spoiler (or Fall edition since it had the spoiler first). Chrome package too I thnk. Can' remember what else.

It was a pretty good looking hhr. My dealer had one and i recently saw one in person again. You could NOT upgrade it to the 2.4 engine though. That was the killer for me. Otherwise I would have bought it and had a really nice special edition, but I really wanted the little extra oompf of the 2.4

 

The Shadow Edition had charcoal paint with a very high metallic content.The metallic bits were all sorts of different colors so it might have a different shade depending on how the light was reflected off the surface.Also,the wheels were a half inch wider than standard.
I,too,was tempted by the package but it seemed that they were all built as 2.2 automatics,which is not what I wanted.

I have a '08 Shadow Edition and absolutely LOVE it! Color is great, when it's clean, ride is great and it has the sport steering package as well as everything everyone else already mentioned. The chrome wheels are pretty good looking too!

The name of the paint is Black Granite Mettalic. Very nice! I have it on my 09 Colorado.

I've got an 08 Shadow Pkg as well. Every day that Ipick up my daughter at school I get a different kid coming up and commenting on the cool paint. Even had a couple of the teachers ask about.
