That is what the rear window wiper/washer is for. When I went up to New York State in December, I got to drive on those wonderful wet slushy roads and road spray. Pushed the rear window washer button and I'd get at least a clear spot to see out the back.

Have you ever looked at your rear rear glass from wiping it with grit infested dirt and a pressurized dirty wiper blade?

It's a terrible way to have to clean the rear glass IHO.

Haha, guess that may be one reason some people...myself included, decide to delete the rear wiper. It might do half the window or less, but only half of that would be clean. The rest was smeared and nasty...lol, I get better rear visibility with no wiper.

We get 3 months of winter and not too much Muck and Mire. I just power wash the rear when it starts getting ugly and live with it the rest of the time.
The only time the rear wiper has ever been on has been all the times I accidently hit the switch when getting my coffee etc. and that irritated me because it always seem to start when the rear window was dirty and dry.
I just pulled the fuse and now it's no problem. Don't miss it all .....

I dunno. We have the raised spoiler that angles wind down the back, and I find that the side doors get dirty faster than the back does, so perhaps it is making a difference. I would bet that the ss spoiler that is super small does nothing.
By contrast, my chev express van has no spoiler and the back doors get super dirty before the sides do.....

IDK..my side get just as crummy as the rear..depends on the amount of water on the roadway....if its just wet then the back gets hammered..really rainy wet then the whole car gets it, though in really wet weather the rear tends to rinse itself and only leaves a film.
