Hhr v6

I had occasion to visit the local U-Pull inventory-Wilbert's, Bath, NY- and found an HHR V6. Is that a typo, FrankenHHR or what? I cannot find any GM Delta platform vehicle with a V6.

FrankenHHR. No such thing as a V6 HHR.

Could be someone had to much time on their hands and stuffed a 3.1 or 3.4 from a lumina or a 3.8 supercharged from an old Bonneville.

An LFX from an Equinox or Buick LaCrosse would be fun. 3.6 liter, 300+hp, n/a.

Once I was told about a Toyota Auris, in which instead of the standard 1.4 they installed a V6 2GR-FE with a volume of 3.5 from Toyota Camry. After a few days of operation, the car body was torn in half. In the future, they had to use a subframe.

I was finally able to visit the Pomona Swap meet and classic car show with my 11 year old grandkids August 10th.
They were drawn to the VW buses I liked the 47-55 chevy trucks. No HHR's here but could have grouped here.
Lots of updated motors in various classics. One chromed out engine bay on an Impala was crazy nice and shiny.

Wouldn't and HHR be a great candidate for and electric conversion? Modern technology update in classic styling.
low center of gravity with room for the batteries low in the middle.

Back to the OP, begging for pics. (Or it didn't happen.)

Re-reading the OP I think he was doing an online inventory search not boots on the ground eye on the prize search.
fastsuv post he removed cradle complete. If you had a V6 cradel side by side I'd imagine it could be done fairly easily.
I'd question the benefit vs the effort.
V6 would be similar in power and tourque to a turbo-ed SS 2.0? But the dyno power band would vary a bit?

Interesting project with time and space to accomplish it.
But no HHR V6 in the boneyard is my belief
I look for a cargo nets when I'm scouting my pick and pull.
My latest treasure was chrome wheel trim rings for the dog dish hub cap set-up for the Astro van

Wilbert’s is mentioned often by Eric O on the South Main auto repair YouTube channel.

3.1 V6 about 120 hp to 175 hp

3.4 V6 about 160 hp to 210 hp

3.8 V6 about 125 hp to 205 hp

4.3 V6 about 180 hp to 260 hp

now these are figures for different years, some are for carburetor, some TBI, some super charged, some double overhead camshafts
In my opinion non are worth the time and effort.

This is why I mentioned the 3.6 LFX. It made Ward's list of 10 best engines, and is the basis for a Blackwing twin turbo variant.
