HHR's "Ding Magnets?" Esp Red?

In the last month I have come out to my HHR to find a new ding/gouge/dent about 5 times. Is our car an accident magnet?

Is it because its short and takes up less space that people think they can open their doors further?

Its driving me NUTS!

Magnet

YES, I DO THINK THE HHR HAS A MAGNET IN IT. I POSTED EARLIER AND ASKED IF THERE WAS SOME WAY TO DISABLE IT. NO ONE KNOWS HOW TO DISABLE IT YET. NO MATTER WHERE OR HOW I PARK MINE, SOMEBODY WILL PARK NEXT TO IT. IT HAS TO BE THE MAGNET, IT IS TOO STRONG.

2 spaces

i am now the guy that people cuss at because i take 2 spaces...better for them to cuss than me....but i also park far enough so there is no reason for anyone to need that space....1 time some idiot squeeses in between me and the shopping cart return rack.....he/she/it was only inches away from my hhr...there was plenty other spaces.....next time someone does hit and run on you you could call the popo and demand to see the stores video of the parking lot, if they don't cooperate you could tell them you want to make a claim on their ins , and/or threaten to tell your local news people about it....i've never tryed it but don't think i won't.

I haven't had any issue's, (knock on wood) I park away from everyone at work, Corner Parking spots, At our Condo's i always park away from people or park next to people that are also car nuts.

I was raised to park away from all the idiots. My dad is also crazy about keeping car's clean and well cared for. Which i don't understand why people pay X amount every month for 6-7years and beat the crap out it. Don't understand it, you would think if u work day in and and day out for something you would want it to look the best it could all the time.

Poppers

I noticed one ding above the right rear fender when looking at this car at the dealership lot:. Then when I got it home I found another pretty big one behind the right front fender (door ding?):
I had them popped out locally. Cost me $90.00. I worry about people hitting my car either by accident or on purpose
And the dreaded stray shopping cart looking for love.

Ive been lucky so far no one has dinged my car, besides the hugh dent from some one backing into me($1500 worth of damage). I try to stay away from looking like I protect my car to much( parking far away) cause people just park next you to be jerks cause they know itll piss you off.

It could be worse, my front left fender was crushed in a Home Depot parking lot and no one came forward to even apologize. Yesterday I lost the right fog light when a dirt clod fell of a truck and hit me while to 75 on the interstate, I couldn't change lanes since I was surrounded by traffic.

I'm blaming it on the former administration.
