Regarding hitches, finally got mine installed (PICS COMING SOON!). My wife got me a Reese hitch, but ordered it from Draw-Tite's website.

Also, if you have trouble finding listings for a hitch, the same hitch fits the entire family of cars on the same rolling stock (Cobalt, Ion, G5/Pursuit). Valley only lists the Cobalt, but the same will fit the HHR because of the identical undercarriage.

It took about an hour for a local body shop to install my hitch. I would have tried it myself but installation required lowering the muffler and installing the wide end of the hitch over said muffler.

Hey Solman, I just noticed you said you were going to use a cargo carrier most mount to a 2" receiver. The Draw-Tite is, and I believe Hidden Hitch also are 1 1/4". Just thought I would give you a heads up in case you had not noticed that.

Correct, I ordered a replacement 1.25 bar from Hitch Haul, so I can use it on either 1.25" or 2". Just a simple bar swap.

Sorry we couldn't get you a better deal on the hitch, it is hard to compete with companys that buy in hundreds when i buy in 5's. Keep us in mind when your ready for the visors. Our hitch and wiring how to's should be up by tomorrow, so if you cant make out the manufactors instructions when you get the hitch, use our how to

Will do, and I am also interested in the wiring mount setup you have. SOund interesting. I remember on the wifes '95 Odyssey, I had to run the wires through the liftgate and did not care for that. If I can't get that like I like it, I will probably get that from you also.

memory, I will be ordering from you when I need my hitch in the spring. I support the supporting vendors!! I am also a small businessman and I hate it when I am forced to use a big company. I am always willing to pay a small premium to do business with a little guy. Without all of us mom-pop's out there, the country would be a giant wally world anyway.

This is a neat setup we having been doing lately, even with vechiles where it is on the outside wrapped around the hitch. Makes it nice to just plug in your trailer wire and go.

I understand exactly what you mean. I pay an extra 5 to 10 cents per gallon for gas cause i dont like walmarts monopoly. I like to support mom and pop operations cause i know they sincerely appreciate the busniess.

i was wondering if the HHR and cobalt use the same hitch? in some of the sites, in the instructions say this model fits both HHR and cobalt, some don't. the reason i was wondering is the difference in cost. coblat is $30 to $40 cheaper. any ideas?

My hidden Hitch from e-trailer came with the draw bar.
Don't forget the How-to I did on the install.
