Has any one with a cold air intake had any problems with their hood support hitting it???? I did and it even popped the top of the arm off the hood. Maybe it wasnt do to the CAI cause i dont see the little clip that holds it on. OH WELL. No damage has been done was just woundering if any one else had this problem.

 

Yep...happened to me on my 2.2L. No real damage other than paint transfer from the two rubbing against one another. That's when I decided that I needed to modify the bracket and paint it to match the car. Once that was done, I've had no problems. Another thing I did until then, was to get some pipe insulation that can be wrapped around the struts like you can buy at home depot. Works great and keeps them from rubbing and making noise.

 

Yeah I have the 2.2 also maybe its just the way the bracket makes it fit I dunno i also had to mod the bracket to make it work with the stock bolt.
