I repete, YOU NEVER ATTACH TO THE BATTERY. Lets see your ASE certificate. Just because its been done wrong for a long time dosn't make it right.

Geesh - attitude attitude. Just cause you or the ASE say so, does not make it wrong. I "repete" - as long as it is done safely and following good guidelines, there is NOTHING wrong with attaching wires directly to the battery. Turning on ignore.

Given that EVERY source demanding power is attached to the battery.....

And, that poster's pic points to the power steering power connection, not just some random source....

Bottom line... As long as the power source connection is from a point that supports the amperage demand, what does it matter??

Also, someone with a clue stated (accurately!!) that the source be properly fused near the pickup point, which is 100% correct.
