How do you classify the HHR?

Don't think Chevrolet knows what it is, they can't seem to classify it on their site. My dealer said a truck, my registration card is marked(SV), whatever that means. I did check insurance for the thing and it is cheaper to insure than a Eqinox or an Impala added on to my current policy. So, I am only concerned that insurance is a little cheaper than a SUV, soo I'm happy whatever they decide it is.

As mentioned in another thread, the 'hearse' thing is how I sold my wife on getting one of these. I build street rods and she has been wanting a hearse for a couple of years. She is planning some 'hearse' looking mods still to come. Someone said in another thread that my limo version looked ready for the last ride. As far as insurance goes, I don't know what they call it but I know it cost less to insure than our 5 year old Chrysler Sebring convertible so that makes me happy.

one of the things that makes an SUV an SUV to me is that you can take them off road. You can NOT take an HHR off road. I was going down an access road to the river tonight and got stuck. I went down the same road in my old Mercury Sable and didn't get stuck but the HHR was burried. The front ground effects hit the ground turned into a dirt plow. Luckily someone came along to tow me out.
I also learned that to tow an HHR that is burried in the sand, it is best to hook up in the back and tow it backwards. I have a hitch on mine so I was able to just clip the tow rope to that and pull backwards for about 100 yards.

I'm one of those 30-Something's that just love Station Wagons... no matter who made them. I LOVE 'EM! So it was great that GM built our little SUW (Sport Utility Wagon).
I'm not an off-roader (the closest I ever came to off-roading was driving in an unfinished back lane), but I sometimes wonder what the little HHR would look like with Off-Road tires and a 48" lift!
