How do you remove the front bumper insert?

Before I started breaking snaps and do-dads, I figured I should ask how the black insert on the front bumper is removed.

I am going to put some carbon fiber vinyl on it to match the carbon fiber that I put on my recently installed rear fender rock guards.

I'm thinking needle noise plyiers, just like the fenderwells. If I recall they are plastic black? I'm not one hundred percent on this.

I use a TACK Puller. It is like a screw driver but has a V notch instead of a wide flat blade.

If I understand correctly--the insert is able to be pulled of the bumper by prying with a trim removal blade?

I thought you were referring to the (xmas tree) pins but after reading the post again, I see that you want to remove the center insert. Guess I goofed again.
Since it isn't hard to remove the whole bumper cover (
, I would do that and then you could easy see how to remove that black section.

Thanks for the pm speed. I replaced my insert by removing the bumper and its simple after that, just pry all the plastic hook tabs free.

We bought a new one and painted ours to match the bumper! We then cut the old one out and re-installed the freshly painted new one .....
