How do you say...

I feel really stupid asking this...

How do you say 1LT and 2LT?

I have been saying "one L T" but my brother swears it means 1st Lieutenant and 2nd Lieutenant.

If it is not the latter then what does 1LT and 2LT stand for?

Danke!

LOL
and for sure baby it does not me 1st Lietenant or 2nd

it has to do with the trim levels and i really am not sure exactly what the abbreviations stand for so i emailed Chevy about it. i did it as if i was interested in buying so i should get some sort of answer.

at one time i thought it was luxury sedan and luxury touring with the sedan being the family or cheaper model w less accessories and long time ago it was touring and grand touring. items like that for description.

lets see if they answer

You are right! I hate when people say LT1 and LT2. Maybe your brothers meaning holds true in the military but not on Chevy vehicles. As far as the meaning of LT and LS I have no clue why Chevy uses those letters. The thing I really don't understand is why Chevy has both LS and LT engines along with LS and LT vehicles. I think they just wanted to have fun confusing their customers.

OH WAIT I think I can help on this, I was told by the chevy rep, my insurance rep and Firestone that it mean Light Truck. What does the 1 and 2 mean, I have no clue but I DO know the difference, LOL!

It's not light truck. You can buy an LT version of any Chevy car. If you don't believe me check Chevys website. It seems like JoeR is right.
