How much is regular gasoline in your town? State?

I saw $2.59 per gal in Southern New Jersey - Philadelphia Metropolitan Area

843de 11-05-2014 03:40 AM

Gas Buddy has the lowest in the Charlotte metroplex pegged at $2.68 a gallon.

Lucky 11-05-2014 05:43 AM

2.89 in ohio

donbrew 11-05-2014 06:19 AM

$2.529 at Costco. But in VA we get to pump our own (that's a jab at NJ).

Oldblue 11-05-2014 07:13 AM

For regular it's $1.14 a liter here in Welland, Ontario that works out to $4.31 a US gallon!
For Premium it's $1.31 a liter here or approximately $4.96 a US gallon!

3.785 Liters to 1 US Gallon per Google

Seems we are still paying almost double what you guys pay!

LawDog88 11-05-2014 07:24 AM

$2.91 here in Jackson, and $2.95 in Lansing Area.

Abney713 11-05-2014 07:47 AM

2.94 in Cape Coral FL.

Andy Cobb 11-05-2014 07:51 AM

2.569 in Roanoke, VA.

Beachbum1 11-05-2014 09:28 AM

2.80 at Sam's Club on St Rt 70 and 301 in Bradenton. FL

Blue_SS 11-05-2014 10:30 AM

2.81 for Regular, 3.11 for Premium here

JAN67 11-05-2014 11:33 AM

It's been between $2.85 and $2.99 in the western suburbs of Cleveland. I read a story that said they will probably stay down through the end of the year. Good thing because the elections yesterday gave me not one but two tax increases. Neither one I voted for.

sbrice54 11-05-2014 12:01 PM

2.99 in eastern wisconsin.

07azhhr 11-05-2014 01:12 PM

I saw $2.79 just now. There might be some a few cents cheaper though. Depends on where in town you are.

HA! That's right in NJ they pump it for you. Self serve is outlawed.
I did a paper on that back in early 80's. A strong independent dealers association lobbied again self serve, worried that company owned stations would put them out of business.

I am truly surprised it is still "full serve"

however, the attendant does not come to the drivers side window when your fill is on the passenger side. You have to lower your passenger side window.
Lukoil attendants started that, now they all do it.

nevertheless our gasoline full serve is always cheaper than across the bridge Phila 'self serve'.

Lukoil........????/

Just wondering why anybody would buy from a Russian owned company? Or for that matter, why allow them to dictate policy in the U.S.???

ThatChevy 11-05-2014 06:08 PM

I've seen as low as $2.59 here in middle Tennessee, but the average seems to be about $2.63-$2.65. As for premium which is what the MX-5 takes I've seen as low as $2.83 at Sam's Club, but average is around $2.96.

jczboy 11-05-2014 07:23 PM

$2.97 in San Diego

so who do you buy from?
the British that run our central banks?
the Dutch that shipped the slaves?
the Rockafellers who want a one world order?
the South American dictator?
the Chinese that own our debt?

Yes, I do NOT buy Lukoil anymore, but it had more to do with the ARROGANT, RUDE, East Asian attendant!

Ron S 11-06-2014 07:29 AM

Shell regular was $2.65 yesterday. I try to run Shell all the time, I get better fuel millage with it. Since I have had my HHR there has only been 3 or 4 tanks of non Shell. Each time I was on the road.

Yes, shell USED to be the only "Tier 1" gas (with extra cleaning additives) in the area, but now there are many Tier1 gas dealers...

papa_jo 11-06-2014 09:26 AM

2.59 @ sam's club here in Columbia sc

You didn't even say you bought there in the original post... just that they started the right-side approach.

It's funny, but I was just getting ready to post about Chavez/Citgo being worse than Russia, but you beat me to it.

That's the only one I will NOT buy from. The rest are "lesser evils" in my mind.

in the early 80's there were lots if 'Independent' Retailers. My Dad refused to buy from ANY "Big Oil" retailer. He said that was the only way to keep prices down. He called the 1970's "oil shortage...we are running out" a FRAUD a whole year before it was finally disclosed. He said it was unreasonable to expect us (USA) to pay what Europe paid for gasoline because our country was so much larger, we used MORE... were a bigger customer.....

Dropped a couple of pennies to $2.63 a gallon in Charlotte.

donbrew 11-09-2014 05:17 PM

You guys ever notice how many gasoline pipelines there are going to your area? There are only 2 in my area.

I don't think the pipeline companies care where the product came from, they only divide up what the grade is, i.e. diesel, gas, av etc. not brand.

Much like buying your electricity from a different generating company but it comes in on the same wire. Are you sure the watt you get is actually from that windmill?

ThatChevy 11-09-2014 10:46 PM

It was $2.59 in Dickson, TN tonight and $2.89 for premium.

Cat Man HHR 11-10-2014 04:54 AM

Just got back from Caracas Venezuela, and hold on to your hats gang because gas down there is selling for the equivalent of FOUR CENTS PER GALLON!

Nope, not a typo, the Venezuelan government heavily subsidizes fuel prices. That combined with a pretty dismal performance of the Venezuelan Bolivar against the Dollar results in gasoline that's cheaper than water.

The trade-off is astounding poverty, a rating by the U.N. as the third most dangerous place on the planet, and a Federal Presidential Republic which combines the "delightful" characteristics of a dictatorship and socialism.

Didn't spot any HHR's, but Caracas is served by a herd of Chevy Aveo taxi cabs, and Chevy Corsa cabs(Opels with Bowties).

08LaRam 11-15-2014 06:26 AM

Baton Rouge Sam's Club $2.52 a couple of days ago, a lot of other places 2.60.

Ron S 11-15-2014 09:06 AM

I filled up Wed. It was $2.59 for Shell regular, but I got 10cents off with my Kroger card and 6 cents off for p;aying cash so I ended up ,paying $2.43 a gallon.:twothumbs:

843de 11-15-2014 11:41 PM

Spotted a BP station selling Regular for $2.57 a gallon while headed to dinner Saturday night, that's the lowest in town, the average is $2.62 a gallon.

Gravy 11-16-2014 04:36 AM

$2.83 most places here

hhr06NJ 12-07-2014 09:28 PM

was $2.59 on Nov. 5th
Now $2.47 on Dec. 7th in South Jersey

843de 12-08-2014 01:03 AM

$2.47 a gallon for Regular at the Shell station in town.

$2.94 a gallon for V-Power Premium at the same station.

a 20 minute drive across the state line into South Carolina drops those prices by 25 cents a gallon.

muddirt69 12-08-2014 10:21 AM

Knightrider03m 12-08-2014 02:31 PM
