i did it
Hey mintbird-congrats!
Nice T-Bird, did you buy it at "Lockport Gambino FORD"!
Sorry, I had to get that off of my chest, those ads were everywhere (they were even playing them in Toronto) a few years back. There's proof that they worked (as I can "still" remember them!).
Jokes aside, my recently aquired '06 is similar to your '08. I'm lovin' this ride!
Besides the roof rack, any other mods planned?

Congratulations! Black w/leather, I'm envious. We wanted one like that. Couldn't find one with sunroof and leather, either or, and not in black. The sunroof was more important to us than the color and the leather.
GREAT color choice--I think there is a thread someplace about putting rails on--I highly recommend chrome. Looks really good on the black--but I am partial to chrome

I think one of the hesitations for adding them is you need to drill them on.
But what do I know?! I just bought my Blackie 'cause he's so cute!

@ngelita
Adding the roof rack seems to be a bit of a pain which could have been avoided if Chevy had just had capped holes on all of them like Honda does with the Element for example. Service departments won't touch it because you have to drill the roof and drop the headliner but I just got a quote from a local dealer that will do the install in the body shop for $160 plus the rails which they want another $233 for. So it looks to be a $400 job in total unless you do it yourself.

Good Luck !
