I gotta tell ya

Today i saw something that was just --great. Not really HHR related other than I was in mine when I saw this.

I was leaving Walmart this morning. I'm driving out one aisle and coming down the other asile was a white Dodge Charger RT/Hemi, and spoiler and was one hot looking car. I drove around to get another look as it pulled up into the handcapped space. Out steps great granma on one side and great grampa on the other dragging out his walker. (I'm a grandad myself)

Seriously, I thought either this old fart still knows cars or someone suckerd him good. Now that I think about it, maybe they're saying the same thing about me when I'm driving the Vette.

On a related note, many years ago while working at another Buick dealer, into the service aisle rolled a Grandma blue '66 Chevy Bel-Air with a GMC 6-71 supercharged smallblock in it!And in it was,of course,a grey haired couple well beyond retirement age.We were all amazed at the sight.

I'm guessing he knew. Probably was building up old flatheads long before many of us knew what a hot rod was.

Good for them!
I'm a counselor at a university and my students are always "amazed" that I have a myspace and facebook page, use AIM, am computer savvy (duh, these were 'invented' long before they were born!) and drive a 'cool' car.

I tell them, I may be older, but I'm not OLD.

Hope I die before I get old!
