It's Going To Be A Rough Night

I've already locked up my HHR in the basement. Everyone in the South needs to be watching out for the heavy storms that are racing our way. We are already under a tornado warning and it sounds as if it just the beginning of things to come for the next several hours. Tennessee has already had 10 fatalities this afternoon and they are still getting hammered. I hope everyone stays safe. I will be heading down to my storm shelter if it gets much worse.

Best of luck to you. I have family in Tennessee. You can drive your HHR in your basement?

Thanks. When I built my house I built on the side of a hill. The basement is below grade on three sides and I have two garage doors on the open end. I built a tornado shelter in the basement also. As a builder, I have built a good number of in storm shelters due to the amount of severe weather we get. I hope your family in TN will stay safe.

My folks have a summer home in Arkansas and it's the same way, built into a hill with a river off the backside. Dad built a garage and storm shelter below grade. From the front of the house it looks like a single story, but from the rear it's a two story. Good Luck to you in TN! We are only getting the heavy winds in Oklahoma this evening, oh, and a temp drop of like 30 degrees. It was chilly at the highschool baseball game this evening....
