JACK did great on the first road trip!!!
Just got back from my trip to KY and NC. and the little HHR did great! I averaged 27 MPG (87 octane) car loaded with luggage and motorcycle stuff, and of course the motorcycle on the trailer. I am pretty sure that the motorcycle and trailer weighed about 1000 pounds, and with the seats folded down in the rear the back of the car was stacked cargo floor to ceiling... LOL
My best friend was floored to see my little car towing the bike and he was even more pissed when he saw my mpg. (he was towing his 7x12 enclosed trailer with his 04 Titan averaging 8-10 mpg... HAHAHAHA
It was a great trip and we had nothing but good times in the car, no lack of power in the mountains, only had to downshift a couple of times. It was a blast and aside from washing it 3 times in one week to get all the dead bugs and road grime off, i had to change out the over heated bearings on my trailer... Here are some pics of the convoy..
