Put a fuse on it. Maybe a diode, too.

Turns out there is a module!

BTW, the jump start location is in your Owner Manual. Get a digital copy from the link in my sig.

The search provided a few pages worth of info on proper jump starting.

Best advice is RTFM, or just look at the diagram on the fuse box cover on most cars (they added that in 2008).

I moved this thread since it is not a how to tutorial.

Not familiar with doing this but I'm guessing you should also run a good ground wire between the vehicles.
The amperage from the motor home's charging system would need a large gauge cable to safely attach to the towed vehicle. A ground wire circuit of comparable size would probably be needed.

Using a wire too small in gauge could lead to the wires overheating and be a possible fire hazard.

The maintainer module they supply looks like it runs off accessory power through the trailering connector that should have ground in it.. Looks like 14 ga. wire.

Thanks Oldblue for pics. Donbrew if you look at my post I said owners manual said to hook to post with Red cover. as I stated mine doesn't have a red cover,so was unsure which one to hook to. Thanks for link to Hopkins hook up. I'm using 10 gauge wire. also ran wire on previous towed truck straight to battery.
