Other than the leather how is it different? It looks like it is the same size based on the pics....what are the diameters? Other than thickness(going by what was said here) how is it different than the leather wrapped wheel on my HHR?

Also...how difficult is this to do? What tools are required?

There is about an inch or so difference in the diameter thickness i don't know i didn't have a leather one before, it is thicker that the plastic one though. tools required were Allen wrench to take the horn assembly off and i cant remember what size socket for the bolt holding the wheel on, and that's it.

13/16" socket will work perfect. Same wheel used on the Cobalts also. I put on a black leather one with radio controls from Cobalt in my 08 LS. 15 minute job.

Did the SS horn button come with your Steering Wheel? I like what you have done with your HHR.

I just found this thread. I really would like a smaller wheel on my HHR, also. From what I saw, the wheel is the same as several other GM cars and uses the same airbag. Does anybody happen to know which models that have a smaller diameter will fit? I want to start checking out the local junk yards. I figure on covering the rim with the Leather Glove kit like I did on my other wheel so that the condition of the rim doesnt matter.
