Key fob question

Do key fobs ever become in paired? I have a viper system and for whatever reason it's unpaired and won't pair again, so thought I'd use the stock fob till I can figure that out and it seems it won't unlock, lock or do anything...

Has your battery ever gone completely dead? 2008 models have a problem with the RCDLR needing new software because a dead battery causes a loss of memory. I don't know about the Viper, some of them use the factory electronics.

Ya it was dead recently, haven't drove it in a while. Is there anyway to relearn the fob or?

And where is this little module located? Something that I can do, or a dealer thing?

Strange, it's been dead before and no issues...

To answer the question: no, they don't suddenly unpair.

Do the tire pressures display?
Can you reset the tire positions using the air release method?
Have you looked at fuses? #23 on the BCM.
Is the battery cage in the fob securely soldered?

The answers to your questions are in your Owner Manual (free digital copy via the link in my sig).
