Question KPH speeds?

Hi,

I am looking at the possibility of getting an HHR to replace my '03 Pontiac Vibe. I live in upstate New York, and I bounce across the border to Canada maybe four times a year.

I just realized that there doesn't appear to be a kilometers per hour scale on the speedomoter. This bothers me because I've grown used to useing that scale as a conversion chart when I'm over the border.

Are appearances deveiving, and there is a kph scale that's been hidden somehow? Is there some other way to convert? Or did Chevrolet just leave it off this car for some reason or other?

I doubt that this detail alone could stop me from getting an HHR, but it doesn't help.

Thanks in advance.

I Think

In the setup for car there is a provision for converting speedometer to read KPH rather than MPH, check it out. I'm sure I saw it somewhere in the owners Bible. It is an electrical setup bu pushing a few buttons.

Thanks for the info; I'll remember to ask about it when I go in for a test drive. If it works out, that's a load off my mind. Thanks!

KPH speeeds

I checked my owners manual on my HHR and find out that the information center set up has a provision for Metric speed and fuel Consumption functions. Also the settings for door locks and other functions in the drivers information center provided on all models of HHR.

I've been meaning to post and didn't get around to it. I test-drove an HHR on Tuesday, and found out how to switch the speedometer. With all my concerns resolved, I put down $500 and placed an order for one.

Thanks for the help, guys!

I haven't had a chance to look at the manual yet. Is there anything special you can do in the setup.
