Wink Lake Pipes

I am looking for some feedback from you all about Lake Pipes. I, own (well the bank and I own, but I get to drive it ) a 2007 black 2LT with the Fall Package. I am wondering if the regular chrome would look right with the smoke chrome.? so lets hear what you think?

Do you think it will be OK...even with the smoke chrome???? I just found 3 shops here in Joplin that do that kind of stuff...so I thought I may go and take a look... My guy is screamin' and making other horrible noises ..he thinks it should stay stock.... I just purchased a Stubby antenna, the door locks and a brake light cover... ...he was not happy... but what can I say....OOPS ...maybe

Obviously you have been bitten by the mod bug and he hasn't. Maybe one of the shops has something in bright chrome you could set up there to judge for yourself before you take the plunge.

The only word of caution I'll give ya is that here in Missouri, they need to be kept clean and polished or they rust. Ours has a few bad rust spots and I think Z-man has had the same problem.

BUT, they look GREAT!!! If you do, get the 70", they fit the side perfectly.

Here's a pic of my wifes witrh the lakes,

Go with the 70's. Mine are the 60's. I'm happy with them but do like the 70's. They fit the between the tires more completely. Both look sharp!

Hey Sindy.....

What's that funny black thing growing out of the top rear of casper???

For you people in the rust belt......

This is a little hard to do, but several days before installation, rub the pipes down with a silicone cloth...the type used for guns, sporting equipment, etc. Just keep on rubbing the cloth on the pipes till your arms are sore. It worked, years ago, in Michigan on chrome wheels. And, I don't believe the heat from the exhaust will diminish the silicone.

Unhappy

where can you buy these from, other than socal?
Because I just noticed that socal has no more 70" in stock,
only the 60"
