Does anyone know if there is a company that makes Urethane bushing parts for the LCA ? They are stronger and lasts longer then the standard rubber bushings, I know they are made for older RWD cars and 4x4s but are they made for the FWD vehicles especially our HHRs ?
Yes, and contrary to to they last longer, no, they don’t, these days they split and fail just like the rubber ones .
Prothane is one company that makes them
They only sell this kit
https://www.prothanesuspensionparts....m-bushings.asp These solid FE5 SS bushings are cheap but last almost three times longer then the hinged hollow type. These are more money but last way longer and are life time warranty.
If I got 2 LCA to rebuild I want to replace all the bushings, ball joint with the best out there for durability and handling, I thought MOOG ball joints and urethane bushings would be the best but looking for recommendations for the best parts to use that will hold up the best or is it better to just buy the ACDelco LCA from RockAuto? I just figured they could be built better to last longer with better stability?
