Can anyone tell me how the stock license plate bracket comes off? somebody told me you just pull, but that doesnt seem right to me.

Once you take the plate mounting screws out the bracket should pull off. They are like molly bolts. I think.

 

Are you asking for the front or back? And are you speaking of the stock bracket that is issued by the vehicle manufacturer or aftermarket license plate "trim" brackets?

Or are you referencing the rear beauty bar?

 

it is the stock bracket. yeah i would take the bolts out but i dont have a tool that would work, its just like three slits in a triangular formation. ill post a pic of it when i get a chance.

 

Back to, You are talking about the front correct. That's what I was talking. If you never had a tag mounted, then those are the "mollys" When you put a screw in the plastic arms get pushed out to hold it in the bumper cover.

If you mean the rear, same thing; 2 nylon inserts.
