Lighting up the visor mirrors

Has anyone tried adding factory lighting to the visor mirrors? It seems like the blanks on either side of the mirror are placeholders for an 'upgrade' mirror with lights. Not sure about how to wire it though. Just an idea.... brought to my attention by my wife!
