A little Jingle

Anyone with a 2007 hear a Little jingle like a chain when they start off from a dead stop? I really cannot describe it.

every 2007 CHEVY HHR comes with a leprechaun in the glovebox. Pop open your glovebox and kindly ask him to put away his little bells and im sure he will comply. That should solve your jingle noise. If not, turn up your stereo.

Maybe pinging (pre-detonation)? Is it possible you got ahold of some bad gasoline? Maybe some gas dryer or injector cleaner needs to be run through the tank?

I think I know what you're talking about... ...not the gasoline...

I have a 2006 2LT with an automatic transmission and I hear a little very quiet short "jingle" noise (last less than a second) when I sometimes shift and start from a dead stop or shift into reverse. Kinda hard to explain to those who have never heard it. Do not notice any problems with the transmission. Thought it might just be a GM noise that appears to be under the car.

Have no idea what it is but barely noticable.

When I 1st got my 06 it had a little bell like noise when I put in R with foot on brake. It was a pipe that is on the firewall under hood. It is held by two clips one on each side and it came out of one. when in R it would ring when it shook and hit the clip. just pushed it back on and it was gone. Maybe thats like yours?

The only noise that I have is the tick tick tick of the exhaust after it has been running for a few minutes. Makes my kids crazy

I also have a noise like you are describing. I thought it was probably a 'GM' noise as well...

I had a metallic clank noise (as opposed to a jiungle) when shifting like Big Kahuna noted. Bad hub/bearing.

So was that a simple repair? Covered under warrenty?

Will it cause any damage if not repaired?

Was there a TSB for this issue?
