Does anyone konw where the computer is located?

Somebody had told me it was under the car mounted on the exterior..does not sound right

 

Open your hood and look for a plastic over in front of the fuse box, thats the computer.

The ECM [engine control mod.]is under the hood over in front of the fuse box, The BCM [body cntrol mod.] is under dash in front of shifter.

 

oneton is right, except he missed one...

Computer #3: TCM (transmission control module for 2.4 auto) is located in the engine compartment just in front of ECM.

Not sure if the 2.2 has a seperate module for the auto. If not, it would be referred to as a PCM (powertrain control module), controlling both the engine and trans.
