Lowering the HHR

Howdy y'all! Long time member/lurker, infrequent poster.

Gonna be having my struts replaced next week and was pondering lowering it at the same time. I have scanned through the various threads through the years and just a few questions for those who have lowered.

The Gold line look like the most-used and recommended on here. While the Gen 2s dont give quite the drop, do they still provide the same ride quality? Is the diff just in height?

Does anyone have advice or recommendations to make? Would be much appreciated. Thanks for your time!

Yeah, Im a doofus, just went ito the suspension forum (how the hell have I never seen it) and was getting some good info. The Pedders seem too low and see too many complaints. Just saw those Canucks, too. I was just wondering what the specific issues with Gen 1 vs. Gen 2 were on the Gold Line, it sounds like it is just height but I wanted to check with those w experience with them.
