Not true.

My panel is an 08 1LT and has the compass in the mirror. Bought it off the lot, standard equipment.

 

The standard equipment varies from model year to model year.A sunroof wasn't standard on a 2LT(I'm grateful my 08 doesn't have one) unless it's been included for 2010 or 2011.

my 2lt has a sunroof. I enjoy it, however i would say that it has the potential to be a weak link in the car (read horror stories of sunroofs here) lol. Really with any options the more you have the more potential you have for problems.

 

Well....... drove an LT last night, Loved it! Only problem is that for some reason the original lessee had some options deleted. No fogs(which I want) no boards, no onstar. Nice blue 5spd. Second one I wanted to test was sold just before i got there. The one I may buy has the antenna for onstar but no button mirror. Hopefully by Tuesday I will be a proud new owner.

 

No fogs/no boards=1LT at best, touring suspension. Fogs lights have been standard equipment on 2LT from the start of production.
Possibly a former rental. If you get the last 6 of the VIN, it's history can be looked up.

 

It must of changed in '09 as I took that right from the '09 GM HHR options
list on GM online order reference guide for '09 thru '11, so may have been available in '08 and earlier.

 

OK I got the last six digits "599985" It's a five speed so I doubt it's a rental. I've never come across a manual in a rental, at least up here in Canada.

 

If that's the blue one at "Two Guys...." (I found it on the net) I would think that is an optioned out 1LT and not a 2LT with options deleted...... So no FE3 suspension.

 

Keep it simple folks! (some were close hints)

Look at the sticker in the glove box. A 2LT will have a code listed as.... 2LT!!

By the way, the ONLY difference with the FE3 suspension is the shocks. Springs and sway bars are the same.
